Examining The Impact of Frequent Quizzes On Mastery of Foundation Design Concepts
This study investigates the effect of frequent quizzes on the learning process by direct assessment of learning outcomes in a Foundation Design course. The investigation is carried out in a senior-level course. The study uses data from four sections of the course that were taught during Spring 2020 and Spring 2021 by the same instructor. The objective of this study was to determine if frequent quizzes increase students’ performance on exams compared to those students who did not have frequent quizzes in a Foundation Design course. The evaluation of data shows that there may be a strong link between frequent quizzing and students’ performance on midterm and final exams.
