Study of Prior Exposure To Environmental Hazards Concepts
As a requirement for graduation, students at University X must take a Freshman Seminar course in their first semester. One such course is Environmental Hazards. A background knowledge probe survey was developed based on key Environmental Hazards concepts. The survey was administered to measure student’s prior knowledge of environmental hazards at the beginning of the term. This study examines the prior knowledge data from sections of Environmental Hazards taught in 2019 through 2021 at University X.
